When to contact PSS
It is recommended to start talking to PSS at least 6 months prior to your departure date and then arrange a free home or video survey 3 months prior to departing.
When to start down sizing
Depending on what your plans are, it would be best to start considering what items are worth sending and what not to send, especially items that have been in the loft or garage for the past few years.
We would recommend you start doing this at the time of lodging your visa. We would also recommend you do some virtual shopping to see what items cost in Australia, especially white goods such as washing machines and fridge/freezers.
How long before you fly should your belonging be picked up
As you may have family support in the UK, we would always recommend that we collect your belongings a few days prior to your flight. This will make the whole process a lot less stressful and will allow you to tidy up loose ends.
