Rosslare Park in Mindarie with Gemma

Rosslare Park in Mindarie is a stunning little beach at the back of the marina. It’s perfect for Kayaking and Paddle boards. There’s shady spots under the trees to sit and take a picnic. It can get busy on the warmer days, but it really is a lovely little place!

Nature

Lake Joondalup

Check out this 17.4-km loop trail. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 3 h 52 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, road biking, and running, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs must be on a leash.

If you are an early riser, it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise and to see the local Roo’s! Leigh

Cycling and Walking

There are foot/cycle paths that run up and along the coastlines. Beautiful scenery and easy access. We usually start at Mindarie and cycle to Hillary’s. Leigh

Sports

HBF arena in Joondalup. My boys go to the soccer club on Thursday nights and swimming on Mondays.
There is lots of sports for the kids to get involved in, such as basketball, soccer, swimming and netball. Classes are divided in age groups of 5-7 and 8-13. This has really helped our boys having social sports and activities to do outside of school and they have made lots of friends!

Optus stadium, Burswood, Perth. Great day out for all the family. We’ve been to see an AFL game and our hometown Leeds united play. The train is free with your ticket and trains run direct to the stadium from where we live in Joondalup. There is also a pub right opposite called The Camfield, so you can go for a few beers beforehand.

The Teale Family

For basketball lovers!

If your kids love to play basketball, there is a great court located in Amberton. There is an added bonus for the parents, as there is also a restaurant with beach views to enjoy whilst the kids play in a secure park next to the restaurant. Leigh
