Cataract Gorge
Cataract Gorge in Launceston has native wallabies and peacocks. You can hike the Gorge, See it by boat or chairlift. There are multiple hiking tracks and plenty of wild life to see. You can do a short 15 minute walk or a 90 minute one way hike. There is BBQs onsite if you want to take your own lunch or you can drive 10 minutes to Launceston town centre.

Port Arthur
Put you walking shoes on as its a beautiful area to go for a stroll or a hike and see some of Australias history. This can be a day trip or a weekend. Port Arthur has a number of hiking trails if you are feeling energetic with some of the most amazing greenery.
