Searching for a bit of greenery and nature then look no further than the Royal National Park set south of Sydney. Pack up a tasty picnic, your swimmers and blanket and head of in the car to this mammoth park where there are plenty of walking trails suitable for all ages and abilities. Top tip is to leave early as traffic this way can get really bad at the peak times! Check out the national park website to decide which is best for you, however our favourites have been Karloo walking track a moderate 10k return track which takes you through the thick bush and brings you out at a waterfall crossing, the perfect place to strip off and cool down in the crystal-clear water. However, don’t stop there, cross the river (don’t worry only your feet will get wet) and carry on through the bush, bringing you to a fire exit road which leads you down to the coast and to the secluded Garie beach (not accessible by car). Explore the rock pools or take a paddle (however please be careful as there is no lifeguards and access by emergency service is almost impossible).

The famous landmarks of Sydney

The famous land marks of Sydney are a must for a night time look. The way the city looks at night is completely different to the daylight. If you’re lucky the Opera House will be lit up with different themes and colours depending on if there’s events happening. Lots of wonderful places to eat along the Circular Quay. A bucket list tick when you arrive and see this in the flesh. Tanya@tanya_australianadventures
