Nature, Wild Life and the Outdoors
Aquascene Darwin
Aquascene is just out side of Darwin and has been a part of the local culture for decades. Every high tide the fish come to the shore to eat. You can hand feed the fishes! The kids will love it.
Lake Alexander
Lake Alexander just out side of Darwin. Great place to stand up Paddle, swim, picnic or do some yoga. Free and a great day out.
Darwin River Dam Recreational Park
A free event with so much going on for the family. Circus tricks, face painting, reptile handling, live radio entertainment to name but a few.

Croccosaurus Cove
Croccosaurus Cove has a school holiday program called Reptile Rangers. Kids get to feed, hold and learn about reptiles in a safe environment.
Katherine Hot Springs
Amazing and relaxing! Katherine Hot Springs is a great family day out. Take a picnic and enjoy the Multiple pools or walk the tracks.
Batchelor Butterfly Farm
Its not just for butterflies! Batchelor Butterfly Farm is 1.5 hours from Darwin but worth the day out. With a full kids petting zoo you also get the bonus of seeing all of the beautiful butterflies.
Desert Park
Desert Park is 10 minutes out of Alice Springs and is a native zoo. They have interactive activities and if you are up for a late night walk (8pm ish) You can do a nocturnal tour by torch light.
Teens
GKH
Great place to have a party or watch your kids have a ball. Its an out door track just out side of Darwin CBD.
NT ATV and Quad Bike Adventure Park
If your kids are Teens and you are willing to join them, Quad Biking is a great day. Full of adrenaline and fully guided. Its not far from Darwin.
Alice Springs Skate Park
Incredible Skate Park. Has a half pipe as well as the course that you can scoot, skate or ride.
Satellite City
Satellite City in Palmerston is a great place for kids to burn off their excess energy and and test their sense of adventure.
Deck Chair Cinema
Out door movies in Darwin also called the Deck Chair Cinema, is some where you can send your teens, or spend the evening with them. BYO extra cushions. They are only open for a part of the year.
Theme Parks
Darwin Water Front Aqua Park
Aqua Park has multiple attractions including the wave lagoon, water obstacle course and if you want to stay dry a playground. The wave pool goes in cycles and you can use one of the parks inflatables for the session.
