Kids Entertainment in Tasmania

Many families decide to move to Tasmania to experience the amazing life style that TAS offers. With a state full incredible landscapes and unique wildlife, Tassie offers a world of entertainment for kids – both free and paid.

This page is designed for migrants to share amazing locations throughout TAS where your kids have had a great day out. It could be learning, eating, playing or holidaying. From nature walks to play groups, any thing you would recommend that kids can attend, so new comers to TAS can find a great day out.

Wild Life and Outdoors

Nature World Tasmania

Nature World is not a zoo its a sanctuary, with animals in their natural habits. You can pat some of the baby animals and some of the rescues and the kids can feed some of the animals with feed bags (check which ones you can feed first)

Nippers

Nippers is ages 5-13. It is the best way to get your kids comfortable around water out side of swimming classes. Its a very Australian activity and great fun to watch!

Teens

Fishing

Take your kids fishing whether its Charter (some one will instruct you if you need it), beach, river or pier fishing it doesn’t matter. The fishing in Tasmania is great and dinner always tastes better free range. Handy hint, you will need a fishing licence that can be bought online if you are over the age of 14.

Holiday Programs

Discovery Rangers is run by the parks department and generally runs over the summer holidays. The kids get to learn about the environment with a real Park Ranger!
