Nature World Tasmania
Nature World is not a zoo its a sanctuary, with animals in their natural habits. You can pat some of the baby animals and some of the rescues and the kids can feed some of the animals with feed bags (check which ones you can feed first)
Nippers is ages 5-13. It is the best way to get your kids comfortable around water out side of swimming classes. Its a very Australian activity and great fun to watch!
Take your kids fishing whether its Charter (some one will instruct you if you need it), beach, river or pier fishing it doesn’t matter. The fishing in Tasmania is great and dinner always tastes better free range. Handy hint, you will need a fishing licence that can be bought online if you are over the age of 14.
Discovery Rangers is run by the parks department and generally runs over the summer holidays. The kids get to learn about the environment with a real Park Ranger!
Basketball is big here, the kids love it, so look into joining a team. Dave
