Nature and Wildlife

Taronga Zoo Dubbo

Dubbo Zoo is not a regular zoo. Its an outdoor safari with so many animals. We used the safari bus to get around and there is also bike hire if you want to ride. Highly recommend!

Jamberoo Adventure Park

Jamberoo is only open certain times of the year. Its full of water slides, tube slides, chair lifts, lazy river and any thing else you could want on a hot day with kids. Its a great place to spend time with all of the family as there is some thing for all ages.

Teens

Surf Lessons

What is more Australian than surfing. Now you live some where warm enough to try it, its worth getting a surf lesson or 10. There are surf schools all up the coast and it will get the kids more confident in the water and also teaches them to read the waves.

Beyond Skate

Parreys Skate Park is an indoor park. There is plenty of parking and facilities. Its located in Cardiff NSW and another great one is Monster Skate at Sydney Olympic Park which is out doors and is suitable for BMX or Skate.

Geocaching

Suitable for all ages but ideal for teens. Geocaching is a GPS treasure hunt. You can do it in teams or by your self. It will get you out and about and seeing locations that you didn’t know existed.

Theme Parks

Luna Park

There is a Luna Park in Sydney NSW and St Kilda Victoria. Both are fairly similar and so much fun. The kids had a ball but it is for special occasions as it can get quite pricy. Book online prior to going as it makes it more affordable.

Other

Basketball

Basketball is big here, the kids love it, so look into joining a team. Dave
